Role and Facility Information

Are you seeking an exceptional career opportunity in hospitalist medicine? We invite you to explore the Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) hospitalist program—a place where innovation, collaboration, and work-life balance converge.

Why Choose Us? You will join a well established program, yet one that has been rejuvenated. In the last year we have co-created an innovative workload model at our site that ensures our hospitalist physicians have consistently safe and manageable physician to patient ratios. This has transformed hospitalist satisfaction for our team members where they can provide best care with ample time to do so, while restoring work life balance and a sense of satisfaction in our patient care. We eagerly await the opening of our brand new state-of-the-art RCH hospital tower, providing a modern and healing environment for both patients and staff. These positive attributes have facilitated our program being fully staffed despite physician shortages elsewhere. Our patient case selection is interesting and often complex. We benefit from robust consultative support from a full complement of medical and surgical specialists. Situated in the heart of Metro Vancouver, RCH offers convenience and accessibility by car or skytrain. We empower our team members to thrive through leadership roles, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and physician wellness.

What We’re Looking For

Eligibility: Candidates must be licensed or (eligible for licensure) with College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) and have either CCFP (or equivalent) or FRCPC credentials.
