On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Manager Digital Business who will function as the curator of the organizations digital asset portfolio required to develop supporting business and supply chain visibility, resulting in optimization of existing capacity within the organization, ultimately supporting future infrastructure investments.
MAJOR POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Ensuring that Digital Business goals are directly linked to corporate objectives within the context and detailed understanding of the growth and development of the organization over the next decade.
2. Providing a central point of accountability on the accuracy and timeliness digital business assets for the IT & Digital Business team.
3. Managing and modifying the Digital Business technical strategy congruent with gateway development objectives and the changing landscape of accessible digital assets.
4. Measure and analyse the performance and effectiveness of organizational efforts across all lines of business and activities.
5. Enabling IT solutions supporting efficiency and effectiveness of organizational efforts across all lines of business and activities.
Job Specifications
Formal Education
- Undergraduate degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology or Engineering.
- Microsoft Database Administrator Certification, or equivalent Certification.
Related Experience
- Knowledgeable with regulation, administration, and securing confidential data
Other Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good leadership skills
- Strong consultation, facilitation and coaching skills
- Strong statistical and empirical analytical skills.
- Knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry is an asset
- Experience with optimization modelling and decision support tools is an asset
- Experience with contract and project management is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and to effectively manage changing priorities.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated. Works well individually as well as in a team environment.
- Creative and intuitive thinker
- Able to obtain security clearance under Transport Canada’s Security Clearance Program
Top Skills Necessary
- 5+ years related experience at a technology leadership level.
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience with reporting tools, software and other applications including SSRS, SSAS, Power BI Pro, Tableau and other reporting tools to organize and present data to business stakeholders in support of decision making.
- 5+ years of experience coaching and mentoring Digital (or GIS) teams to drive innovation with new ways of using data to paint a picture that resonates with both internal and external business stakeholders.
Salary range: $128,000 - $161,000
