DIRECTOR OF TREASURY OPERATIONS - #445842

We are seeking a highly strategic and detail-oriented Director of Treasury Operations to lead and enhance our treasury operations, ensuring financial efficiency and optimal cash flow management.

Position Overview

The Director of Treasury Operations is responsible for overseeing the organization’s treasury administration, including cash management, bank accounts, debt and treasury product administration, and reporting. This role requires a combination of strategic insight and hands-on execution , with a strong focus on efficiency, risk management, and process improvement. They will also demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, effectively managing both direct and indirect reports across various levels.

This role collaborates with multiple stakeholders across the organization, including Finance leaders, Controllers, and Divisional General Managers. The perfect candidate will be a skilled accountant with exceptional analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and Mentor Treasury team – consisting of two Treasury Analysts and Corporate AP.
• Develop and maintain treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Cash – Oversee daily cash positioning and cashflow forecasting for all companies on a rolling 8-week basis. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners on cash flow forecasting and funding strategies.
• Banks– Manage banking relationships, including account structures, services and compliance.
• Credit & AR Portfolio – Collaborate with Controllers to collect and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable across all companies. Lead the CAT & Global AR team to mitigate overdue accounts and enhance collection processes, while working with the National Director of Credit to assess and monitor national customer credit exposure, develop approval frameworks, and optimize risk management strategies.
• Loan Portfolio – Assist in debt review, issuance, and restructuring. Maintain a detailed loan and lease database, ensuring precise tracking of principal, interest, and balance amounts across contracts, loan/lease companies, and corporate entities. Additionally, manage all relevant supporting documentation for comprehensive record-keeping.
• Intercompany Loans – Ensure all intercompany loans are authorized and well documented. Reconcile intercompany loans and balances on a monthly basisand develop policies and procedures to efficiently clear outstanding balances.
• Derivatives and Hedges – Maintain a FX hedge repository capturing all foreign exchange contracts. Develop and update mark-to-market reports on a weekly basis to manage FX positions and valuations. Help develop foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• CPA or CFA required
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or treasury management including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of cash management, capital markets and banking products.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting.
• Strong accountant with knowledge of intercompany transactions, debt reconciliation, and FX risk management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Experience working in a corporate finance environment with complex reporting structures.
• Advanced knowledge of financial systems and ERP software (e.g., Great Plains).
