The Resident Attendant is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

This is a Temporary Full-Time job with 75 hours bi-weekly.

Term: 3 months

• Sun 6:30am-2:30pm
• Mon 6:30am-2:30pm
• Tues 6:30am-2:30pm
• Wed 6:30am-2:30pm
• Thurs 6:30am-2:30pm
• Fri OFF

As a Resident Attendant, your typical day will impact the following ways:

• Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service.
• Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
• Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required.
• Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments
• Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader.
• Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
  
  

Must Haves

• Certification in Personal Support Worker or Personal Care Worker , or a 16 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department . If you don't have this, you must be willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date.
• Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
• Basic or Standard First Aid is required.
• Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
