The Manager, Test Management and Quality Control, plays a critical role in ensuring the overall quality of all aspects of the testing lifecycle. Key accountabilities include the planning, resourcing, and oversight of testing deliverables within projects and/or business sponsored change to ensure alignment with methodology, project goals, and organizational priorities. They will support a team of testing professionals to ensure they are equipped with the tools and skills required to achieve performance goals and drive continuous improvement through regular feedback and coaching.

Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and evaluate employee performance, ensure development of their potential through coaching and training, and make decisions regarding hiring and performance management within the respect of Bank’s policies.
- Assess and effectively manage resourcing of all new intake requests; maintain a detailed resource planner with a six-month forward view and adjust resourcing as needed to achieve project and organizational goals.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and align on a support model that drives quality, accountability, and organizational continuous improvement for each new request.
- Support the Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation to prepare and track progress towards annual department and project budgets; proactively monitor and address anomalies.
- Support and oversee deliverables of multiple testing teams (internal and external) to ensure all deliverables of the Testing Lifecyle are completed in line with methodology/best practices: Estimates, test strategy, plan, schedules, test cases, dashboards, defect logs, test closure reports, entry/exit criteria and gating for complex projects and/or programs.
- Act as the point of contact for escalation between the testing team and internal other stakeholders,
- Continuously assess and improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- 7 years of experience in a Leadership role overseeing multiple phases of testing.
- Strong understanding of QA concepts and methodologies in testing; commitment to ongoing development and monitoring of industry best practices.
- Experience working with different banking systems and products.
- Experience with Test Management tools such as DevOps, ALM, Jira (Xray, Zephyr) Waterfall and/or Agile-Scrum and Confluence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience with automated test script development and execution is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability in core and role specific competencies including leadership and coaching, risk management, negotiation, proactivity, adaptability, effective prioritization, management and oversight of multiple concurrent activities, organization, time management, problem solving.
- Ability to lead and develop teams to their full potential through consistent and effective performance management, succession planning, and commitment to continuous development.
- Self starter, comfort dealing with ambiguity and multiple internal and external stakeholders and priorities in a fast paced, demanding and rapidly evolving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact and explain complex situations professionally with diverse groups, managers, and subject matter experts in French and English*
- Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
