Who are we looking for?

GHD is looking for a Graduate Architect to join our Architecture Studio within our Engineering Design Organization. As a grad architect you will provide support to multi-discipline projects in various industries including rail and transit facilities, water/wastewater treatment plants, energy, solid waste, food and beverage, environmental and other industrial buildings. This opportunity will provide exposure to integrated design and delivery of major projects across Canada.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Strong working knowledge of Revit as a design platform
  • Technically competent in the use of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office
  • A desire to grow professionally and work towards professional licensure (OAA).
  • Prepare presentations, annotated plans, 3D axonometric diagrams, and other necessary information to support the design team.
  • Perform design drafting including preliminary drawings, working drawings and full detail drawings for architectural works associated with building construction or improvement projects.
  • Research literature and maintain knowledge of current building materials, structural, mechanical, and electrical system codes, and methods of application

What you will bring to the team:

  • Graduate in Architecture or Architectural Engineering or equivalent (0 – 2 years).
  • Understanding of MS Office, REVIT, CAD and good organization skills
  • Strong graphic presentation skills and abilities to present to clients
  • Keen to learn, collaborate and coordinate with other members of the team.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to deal with uncertainty, changing and multiple priorities.
