Description

AbeBooks is seeking an experienced Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead our global email marketing efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and executing innovative strategies that drive customer engagement and retention across our worldwide marketplace. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping our customer communication strategy and contributing significantly to our business growth.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned, data-driven email marketer with exceptional strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering results at a global scale. You should be passionate about customer-centric email marketing in the B2C or e-commerce space, building automated lifecycle journeys and have deep expertise with email marketing tools. You are curious and always looking to innovate in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and manage end-to-end our global email marketing programs, from engagement to retention efforts
  • Analyze customer data to identify segments, develop targeted email strategies, and create personalized experiences
  • Launch new automated email programs and optimize existing flows
  • Execute on single-send promotional campaigns in collaboration with our brand marketing manager
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, business intelligence, and customer success to align lifecycle initiatives with business goals
  • Analyze and report on key email performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to the team
  • Stay current with email marketing trends and spearhead the adoption of new email technologies and methodologies

About The Team

We are a global online marketplace for books and collectibles with hundreds of millions of new, used, rare and out-of-print books listed for sale by thousands of sellers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
  • Experience with test and learn, marketing optimization, and experimentation
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross functional marketing programs

The base salary for this position ranges from $91,600/year up to $153,000/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
