Position Summary
The Advanced Imaging group develops both full custom and semi-custom image sensors and cameras for airborne, space, and life science applications.
As the senior hardware designer of one or more projects, you will be responsible for the system level design by ensuring the final product meets customer specifications, and ensuring technical risk is managed/mitigated. Working hand-in-hand with the Project Manager, you will lead the hardware design working together with a team that may include sensor/electronics/mechanical design specialists, process engineers, and test specialists. You will also interact with other Teledyne groups including manufacturing, purchasing, and CMOS development.

To be successful in this role, what we're looking for in you is:
- Low noise analog electronics design experience
- High speed digital design experience
- Broad knowledge of systems engineering, hardware design, software design, and product development process
- Must be a strong team player, as well as be able to work independently
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Report writing is essential.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Reliability engineering
- Experience preparing & revising technical reports and project documents
- Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Electrical (Electronics)/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of hardware design/development experience
- Strong, proven experience leading hardware design
- Proven experience working within a large multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills are required
- Eligible for Controlled Goods security clearance
- Experience with ECSS and MIL standards
- Hardware design experience for Space applications
- Experience working with CMOS image sensors and/or cameras
- FPGA design / debugging skills
- SW debugging skills
- Experience evaluating risk and driving change
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Experience leading junior designers
