Since 1912, IMW Industries Ltd. (IMW) has manufactured industrial equipment known for its quality and reliability. Today, IMW is a leading supplier of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Renewable Natural Gas equipment for vehicle fueling and industrial applications. We are also developing a line of hydrogen compressors. Our products include compressors, dispensers, storage systems, CNG parts and technical services. IMW is part of the Landi Renzo group, headquartered in Italy.

Position Overview

The Project Manager coordinates detailed product and project development across a multifunctional group and generates a communication plan to support customer deadlines, engineering, production planning and supply chain activities. Our projects have a life cycle of 3 to 6 months with values ranging from $0.5M to multimillion dollar projects. The PM is expected to manage multiple projects at any given time. Our customer base is global ranging from North America, LATAM, South America as well as Europe and Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and schedule.
  • Ensure projects follow defined departmental processes and procedures.
  • Identify and manage project risk and generate a risk management plan.
  • Create and maintain a detailed project schedule and identify when each task will be performed.
  • Manage, respond to, and communicate, schedule delays.
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change requests.
  • Document and share lessons learned and best practices across projects and programs.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of customer needs, methods and procedures relevant to internal processes.
  • Initiate and organize meetings with stakeholders and management to address challenges.
  • Communicate with customers on regular basis on project progress and issues.
  • Assist in continual improvement of the Project Management Office at IMW.
  • Mentor co-workers in proper project management processes.

Education

  • Engineering degree or diploma in a technical field of study (e;g; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Certificate or Degree in project management preferred.

Experience

  • 3+ years experience in project management preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and PMI methodology.
  • Certificate in Project Management is an asset.
  • PMP and/or Prince 2 Designation is an asset
  • Strong communication and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong track record of successfully completed projects in the manufacturing industry.

LANGUAGE: Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal);

Certifications / Licences / Permits

  • PMI, PMP, or equivalent designation is an asset.
