Job Summary:

• An experienced (8-10 years) Power BI developer, proficient in using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI and MS SQL to work for one of our railroad clients. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing technology applications. Hands on with Power BI tools and MS SQL is a must.


• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.

Years of experience needed – 8-10 years.

Technical Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Reporting tools with at least 1 end to end implementations.


• Power BI: Proficient in using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embedded.


• Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.


• DAX: Experience with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculated columns and measures.


• SQL: Familiarity with SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.


• Data Visualization: Ability to create clear, concise, and visually appealing reports and dashboards.


• Business Intelligence: Understanding of BI principles and practices.


• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power BI solutions.


• Minimum of 4+ years of hand-on experience in MS SQL.


• Strong experience in understanding of business user’s expectations.


• Experienced in creating technical design documents from the functional specification documents.


• Capability to provide high level and detail estimates.


• Proven track record in designing and delivering complex Reporting solutions for large organizations.


• Knowledge of the Railway business is preferable but not mandatory.


• Assess system operations and implement Reporting solutions to optimize performance.


• Perform development to provide reporting solutions addressing specific business needs.


• Responsible for root cause analysis on production issues.


• Responsible for the implementation of solutions to resolve production defects.


• Assess business requirements & processes and provide recommendations on optimal solutions that will best serve the business needs.


• Partner with QA to own the quality of the product.
