This role carries technical responsibility including development, integration and optimization, and also consultancy for the machine learning platform.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to create automation around infrastructure including network, cloud build environment and other relevant capabilities using a wide variety of technology and tools including open source.
  • Experience of applying enterprise integration patterns and API design practices, creating services for infrastructure capabilities for the user needs.
  • Drive POCs for infrastructure service and work out IaaS improvement inline with the data usage.
  • Improve infrastructure reliability, efficiency, visualization, and quality for global lab & infra services (Sweden & Ottawa). Connect different systems together (scripting languages and tools).
  • Coordination of efforts with infrastructure custodians and administrators to plan deployments, upgrade and decommissioning.

You will bring

  • Experience with Juniper & Extreme products Switches, Routers, Firewall, Network Products like F5 Load Balancer, Cisco Gateway Routers, Dell Switches.  Tools like NetAct, Zabbix, Cacti.
  • Advance level of certification in cloud technology like Microsoft Azure/GCE/VMware, /RHOSP/Docker/Kubernetes(k8)/OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of standard authentication and authorization protocols OpenId, OAuth2, SSO, OPA. Scripting Knowledge via Bash, Python, Ansible
  • Good software development and testing experience, good Python/ programming skills. Ability to develop scripts, automation workflow to deploy updates and fixes on infrastructure primarily network, cloud builds.
  • Knowledge of Micro-service, Container/Docker, Kubernetes, knowledge of network (big plus)
  • Knowledge of Big Data eco-system, like Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka, Flink. (plus)

This position reports to Manager Cloud RAN infra HW&SW Services.

Your Pay

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

  • Bachelor: 82,175 CAD annual
  • Master: 90,825 CAD annual

Hiring Bonus:

  • Bachelor: 8,500 CAD
  • Master: 11,500CAD

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 2 medical and dental plan options that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
