Dream is looking for Project Manager, Income Properties

Dream Unlimited is always looking for the best and brightest to join its thriving community. Dream’s Income Properties team is growing and is currently looking for a Project Manager who will participate and/or lead the management of Alpine Park through the construction phases.

Who are you?

Over your three to five years of experience in project managing retail and multi-residential developments, you’ve learned the importance of being organized and communicating clearly. You are comfortable cultivating and managing relationships with external vendors while ensuring cost efficiencies are obtained. You make sound decisions independently and ensure projects are completed while meeting Dream’s schedule, cost, and quality objectives.

What will you do?

Responsibilities

Below are a few of the primary responsibilities this entails, we can discuss them all in more detail when we meet. You will:

  • Be responsible for project scheduling, budgeting, financial reporting, project documentation and control for specified development projects
  • Oversee the preparation of planning documents, applications, and other material for municipal and regulatory approvals as required
  • Manage and coordinate all construction related activities with consultants, contractors, and internal staff
  • Prepare budget, tender or contract documents with consulting engineers and contractors
  • Monitor budget and schedule taking necessary actions to achieve planned outcomes
  • Oversee preparation of project engineering reports, due diligence assessments, and other necessary information/testing required for approvals and construction
  • Liaise, build, and maintain positive relationships within the organization and with consultants, contractors, municipalities, and other project stakeholders
  • Participate in industry related meetings regarding development standards and policies
  • Assess and provide recommendations , ideas and continued suggestions for improvement
  • Help build Industry, brand, and market presence
  • Maintain compliance with established safe work practices, procedures and occupational Health and Safety Acts & Regulations

What type of experience do you have?

These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

  • A post-secondary degree in engineering, architecture, or project management
  • 3-5 years applicable work experience in project management related to engineering, architecture, or construction
  • A proven track record of delivering retail and multi-residential projects on time and on budget, while achieving high quality standards
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, terminology, and procedures
  • Presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Strong project management skills
  • We expect you to be proactive and have creative problem-solving skills
  • You have a set of wheels and a valid driver’s license required
