Position Title: Marketing Associate
Reports To: Director, Marketing and Strategy
Location: Oakville, Ontario
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Associate will be a key point of contact for various marketing initiatives. This position works closely with SteriMax internal teams as well as external stakeholders.
The position is full-time, reports to Director - Marketing and Strategy and may involve domestic travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand and Product Promotion: Assisting in creating and maintaining promotional materials, campaigns, and digital marketing tools to raise awareness and generate interest in SteriMax and SteriMax products.
- Packaging and Labelling: Responsible for trade dress evaluation; Conducting competitive market research on product packaging and labelling; Assisting in trade dress assessment and recommendation.
- Event Planning and Management: Organizing and coordinating participation in conferences, trade shows, and other industry events to showcase SteriMax products and build brand awareness.
- Social Media and Website - Working with vendor to support maintenance of corporate website and collaborating with social media team to update content
- Vendor Relationship: Responsible for the management of relationships with external agencies and vendors to support marketing initiatives.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual (French) Preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player who acts respectfully with all functional levels internally and externally.
- Proficiency in digital marketing techniques, including social media management, content creation, email marketing, and analytics. Familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) and online advertising platforms can be valuable.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations, including Health Canada and PAAB guidelines.
- Proficient with MS Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical market dynamics and regulatory guidelines.
