The Role

This is a program management position within the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Graphics Processing Unit Software Group (AGS). Roadmap planning, Program Management and Project Management of our AI development tools.

The Person

  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership / accountability
  • Capable of writing down technical software feature definitions
  • Ability to obtain accurate effort estimation from architects/engineers
  • Track record of delivering on-time to committed schedules
  • Good Communicator (Oral, Written, Presentations)
  • Interacts well with senior managers, directors, developers and architects
  • Willing to work multiple time zones with our European and North America development teams, and Hyderabad testing engineering teams


Key Responsibilities

  • Roadmap Planning
    • Own an AI Dev Tool’s roadmap process (requirements definition, scoping, planning, scheduling)
  • Program Manager
    • Project manage features with our developers, testers
    • Work with release management to align features to releases
    • Run weekly reviews for P1/S1 defects.
    • Manage JIRA Agile boards tracking tasks for the team.
    • Review requirements for upcoming products.
    • Risk management and escalation will be important.
    • Provide weekly status updates, and present to our management and executive teams.
  • Special Project Manager
    • Project manage an UI application and database component
    • Work directly with our Sr. Designer to create and manage a development schedule
    • Create Microsoft Plan v3 schedule and track progress, managing the critical path(s)
    • Create the JIRA Tasks for the engineering teams
    • Provide weekly status updates to managers and directors
Preferred Experience

  • Project management experience in software engineering
  • C/C++, Python development experience
  • Managing your own projects end-to-end with developers in developing software applications
  • Presenting status to Directors and above
  • Roadmap planning
  • Interaction with product managers
  • Embedded or semi-conductor software development background
  • Semi-conductor / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning knowledge
  • Performance analysis tools and methods
  • Academic courses in AI, Machine Learning, Debuggers, Profilers[LS1]
  • Application development in relevant industry (not Oil, Gas, Healthcare)[LS2]
  • Data Analytics (Weather, Stock, Machine Learning) has a transferable skill
  • Certification in project management such as PMP
  • Working experience managing projects in Microsoft Project, and capable of using MS Plan v3
  • Atlassian Confluence and JIRA experience
  • Linux and open-source community development
  • Familiar with Linux, Github, development environment.


Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • Certification(s) in program or project management
  • PMP is recommended
