Join our Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) project. Honeywell will be installing and replacing residential and commercial electrical meters for electrical utility services across the province of Ontario and in selected deployment areas.

We are seeking a Residential Electric Meter Installer to join our team in Ontario. As a key member of our installation crew, you'll be responsible for efficiently installing, replacing, and testing residential electric meters across the province, braving both hot and cold weather conditions. Your role will involve troubleshooting defective or problematic meters and utilizing cutting-edge data collection tools through handheld tablet computers. Interacting professionally with local utility customers, you'll uphold the highest standards of accuracy and customer service.

Safety is paramount in our operations, and you'll be expected to strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures, conducting thorough hazard and risk assessments for each task.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing, replace and test meters that monitor electricity flow into a home or business.
  • Use your electrical skills to change out older meters and replace them with digital meter equipment.
  • Test existing meters.
  • Use the proper tools to calibrate the meters while in the field.
  • Adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Travel throughout Ontario is a part of this role.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 education)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Customer required background verification checks must be completed and approval maintained

WE VALUE

  • Prior experience in residential electric meter installation
  • Proficiency as a meter reader
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Ability to thrive in diverse outdoor environments
  • Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to work independently
  • Customer service experience is highly desirable
  • Basic computer skills are advantageous
