Toast is hiring on behalf of a well-established startup harnessing AI to enhance military and defense surveillance applications. They push technical boundaries at the forefront of AI and are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team and contribute to building a more stable and efficient product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain DevSecOps and MLOps pipelines for AI software deployment
  • Ensure software stability through CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
  • Work with Docker for deployment on x86 and ARM64 infrastructures, including Nvidia Jetsons
  • Utilize Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm to support MLOps data pipelines
  • Implement license compliance and best practices for security and networking
  • Collaborate with a small, multidisciplinary team to drive innovation

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in software deployment
  • Experience developing and maintaining deployable code
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile development
  • Interest in machine learning and AI applications
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience in networking and cybersecurity
  • Knowledge of MLOps and Nvidia Jetsons deployment
  • Proficiency with Ansible and technical writing

Security Clearance Requirements

Due to the nature of this company’s work in the aerospace and defense sectors, candidates must meet security clearance requirements, including:

  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
  • Residency in Canada for the past 10 years
  • No extended travel outside Canada for more than six consecutive months in the past decade
  • Disclosure of dual citizenship, if applicable
