About The Role

As ATB’s next Support Specialist I, your role will be integral to the successful partnership with the Sales teams in order to provide the best- in-class service to our customers. As the Specialist Support I, you will not only be curious and hungry for knowledge, but demonstrate your ability to be a part of problem resolution both independently and within teams in order to build strong relationships with our partners. In this role you will be forward thinking, a master problem solver, agile, and adaptable to our customers’ changing needs.

Please Note: Please note this is a temporary 12 month opportunity.

Accountabilities

  • Connect and cultivate productive working relationships with Financial Advisor Associates, Portfolio Associates, Financial Advisors, Senior Financial Advisors, and Investment Counselors in addition to internal ATB partners
  • Successfully provide clear communication and solutions to customer inquiries while demonstrating effective management of risk with guidance or direction
  • Demonstrate and maintain a working knowledge in at least one core area of operations including, but not limited to, Transfers, Plan Administration, Corporate Actions, Trading, and Tax with a high degree of focus on the client experience
  • Look at problems through several lenses, help identify gaps and themes in the support and learning models, and be involved in the solution by creating supporting documentation including job aids for various audiences. Ability to lead or assist in training sessions is an asset
  • Have a critical thinking mindset when collaborating with internal and external teams to come up with support solutions for customers
  • Effectively communicate by taking calls, answering emails and hang out chats from the sales team
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Dataphile and Salesforce

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the investment industry including operational processes with some understanding of compliance and risk management
  • Ability to work under high pressure situations and meet/exceed product/service standards and quality standards
  • A customer obsessed mindset
  • Canadian Securities Course
  • Post secondary education in business or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years experience in the securities industry
