TF Truckload & Logistics is growing and we are currently looking to recruit a Materials Coordinator for a contract lasting 1 year. The Firebag Site is located north of Fort McMurray and the schedule will consist of 8 days and 6 days off rotation. Flights to and from Edmonton and Calgary only
Reporting to the manager, supply chain management, project materials, you will coordinate the materials handling activities at site or shop to ensure availability of materials. You will be responsible for planning and tracking the receipt of equipment and materials as well as expediting and coordinate delivery of materials.

You will be responsible for planning and tracking the receipt of equipment and materials as well as expediting and coordinate delivery of materials.

- Contribute to meeting or exceeding annual project materials management performance targets
- Coordinate the unloading, receiving, control and distribution of construction materials to various contractors in the assigned area
- Ensure the accurate and valid receipt of physically received materials during delivery
- Manage the process of integrating the materials receipt into the inventory management system
- Label all materials before entering the system and respective storage locations
- Visually inspect all materials and direct to quality assurance testing when required
- Propose procedural recommendation to support the ongoing development of materials management activities
- Meet regularly with contractor’s materials management representatives to discuss and update future plans for materials and provide appropriate information to the project team
- Collaborate regularly with home office supply chain management, construction management, and contractor material management personnel to ensure materials arrive at construction site on time
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained in operating areas
- Manage Material from Requisition, Material Transfers, Monthly Reconciliations, Dead Stock Reviews, Surplus Identification, Blocked Invoice Resolution, Cost Saving Opportunities and Ensuring Storage Contracts are up to date.
- Wellhead Refurbishment for D&C and Ops are managed according to Process.
- Maintaining non-Inventory Accuracy during goods movements.
- Ensuring the timely recording of consumption and transfer of material requirements based on business priorities.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and participating in Physical Inventory Counts (some travel to site required)
- Document Control ensuring packing slips, MSDS, MTR and QM/QI/NCR/OS&D are completed
- Complies and Assist with all internal and external audits including Procurement (SOX) and financial audits and ensures that physical stock balances are reconciled, and discrepancies resolved, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Extensive Tubular Experience is required for this role along with ; Accessories Materials, Wellhead, Warehousing and extensive Reconciliation experience
- SAP knowledge of MM (Materials Management) is required
- Oil & Gas experience is required
- 5+ years experience in supply chain, specifically materials management
- Thorough working knowledge of Inventory Management, Scheduling, policy, business process and SAP is required
- High level of attention to detail, communications skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history is required
- Understands advanced aspects of discipline and is viewed as an expert in a given field.
- Applies broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems.
- Often provides specialized/technical/functional guidance to others within department and/or business asset.
