This position is office based at our Central Canada office in Mississauga, ON.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the product sales for a line of technical products, ideally in mechanical. They will have inside sales and/or technical support experience and show an aptitude for supporting the outside sales team and helping customers to prepare proposals and process orders. Responsibilities
- Being a hub for quote development and order processing to coordinate between the outside sales team, customer, suppliers and other internal divisions.
- Collaborating with outside sales to support customers and keep the sales opportunities advancing towards close.
- Contributing to our improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience and free our sales team up to spend more time with customers.
- Checking product selections based on given performance parameters.
- Utilizing price books, configurators, and suppliers to price equipment.
- Creating project cost sheets for review before quoting.
- Preparing quotes and project proposals for customers.
- Processing purchase orders, including reviewing terms and conditions.
- Preparing and issuing shop drawings and other technical documents as needed.
- Tracking document flow, order progression and delivery schedule on projects.
- Managing returns and supporting service for warranty and maintenance.
- Work with software P21 (ERP system) for order entry, and tracking.
- Work with CRM to track communications with customers.
- Technologist or technical degree
- Eligible to work in Canada
- 2+ years of related experience (does not have to be Canadian)
- Experience on a technical support and/or customer service team.
- Experience with mechanical equipment or HVAC
- Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ERP (we use P21)
- A strong technical aptitude and ability/desire to learn more about our products and their applications.
- Be organized and accustomed to documenting work and planning your time.
- Be self-motivated to get the job done and support the customer.
- Team oriented with strong relationship building skills.
- Creative problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Solid communication in English (both verbal and written).
