Administrative Assistant , Bathurst , New Brunswick

When you join our team as a Administrative Assistant , you will be responsible for assisting in various operations, accounting, human resources, and environmental, health, & safety tasks. This position will also provide administrative support to the mill operations which include daily operations and logistics reporting along with other tasks to support the mill as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Administrative
    • Greet and direct visitors.
    • Send outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail.
    • Direct incoming calls.
    • Arrange lunch for mill, procurement, reliability, and any other functional department.
    • Maintain and requisition all office supplies.
    • Schedule conference rooms.
    • Any other administrative tasks deemed necessary by the Mill Manager.
  • Operational Reporting/Data Entry
    • Handle all duties required for the Business Review.
    • Create shipment orders for IST shipment BH to BD transfer from checking the inventory
    • Take appointments by phone & email for external shipments od lumber
    • Prepare heat treatment certificate for all internal transfers
    • By-Product Invoicing & receivable follow-up
    • Ad Hoc Accounting/Operations Reporting.
  • Inventory
    • Research inventory deviations to determine possible causes and communicate this to management via periodic reports.
  • Human Resources
    • Ad Hoc Human Resources reporting and duties.
  • Environmental, Health, & Safety
    • Support for employee safety meals and events.
    • Ad Hoc EHS report and data entry duties.
What You Offer

  • Post-secondary degree in Business/Accounting/Finance is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of reception experience is an asset.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
  • Positive, proactive, detail oriented and driven to succeed.
  • Effective organization, planning, implementation, and follow up skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office & computer skills.
