As the Senior Group Sales & Service Representative you support our distribution partners in the delivery of value-added benefits and superior service to Advisors and Plan Sponsors.

How You Will Create Impact

  • Executing the implementation of new business, including liaising with various business units and conducting client onboarding sessions.
  • Deliver presentations to employee groups to facilitate enrolment and/or introduce their Group Benefits (in person or remote).
  • Meet with plan administrators to train and educate them on effective methods of plan administration.
  • Lead customer workshops and training around product updates & new features.
  • Build and maintain successful and lasting relationships with existing and potential clients.-
  • Respond to benefit plan inquiries and resolve escalated inquiries from Plan Sponsors, Advisors/Consultants and internal department contacts.
  • Initiate Amendment requests for existing groups ensuring that information is complete and outstanding requirements are obtained
  • Provide expertise on Co-operators’ digital experience for group benefits clients and highlight key features and functionality
  • Support group benefits clients in driving adoption of our digital tools and experiences among their plan members
  • Coordinate the renewal process, including rate confirmation and preparation of finalized renewal documentation.
  • Sharing expertise and supporting the team and business partners in order to meet business needs and making recommendations to improve effectiveness.

To Join Our Team

  • You have 2 years of Group Insurance and/or client services experience.
  • Post-secondary diploma in a related discipline is an asset. GBA Designation or working towards the designation is an asset
  • You have thorough knowledge of group benefits and product offerings, including an understanding how federal and provincial health and disability plans impact private insurance plans and what risk factors effect group benefits.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
