The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include

• Manage safety stock levels, ensuring a continuous supply of required material to production.
• Create and maintain Purchase Orders as well as purchasing related data and information.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with vendors including qualification, selection, communication, and evaluation.
• Create and monitor purchasing reports to drive procurement strategies.
• Develop sourcing strategies to meet customer needs, market conditions and maximize positive impact to the organization.
• Lead procurement related negotiations with existing and new vendors.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

• Currently or previously enrolled in courses related to supply chain management. Interest in pursuing a SCMP or SMT designation in the future.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization skills, with an eye for detail
• A high level of critical thinking and accountability
• Process driven, self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to take initiative.
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet timeline-dependent deliverables
