We are searching for an experienced Purchaser at our Quebec - Longueuil, QC 908 facility.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Purchaser will maintain reliable and efficient supply of parts.

Job Duties

• Monitoring and maintaining strategies that increase the efficiency and speed of supply operations.
• Develop, maintain & manage relationships with vendors.
• Analyze and maintain inventory levels
• Set and monitor min/max settings.
• Forecasting requirements and coordinating purchases with import buyers.
• Handling all correspondence and negotiations with suppliers.
• Issue Purchase Orders.
• Coordinate incoming freight.
• Report and manage shortages, defects, and warranty claims.
• Work with Inventory Control/Receiving Department on incoming freight.
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Skills Required

• Experience with ERP systems
• Analyzing usage, requirements; forecasting future requirements
• Inventory Control
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team environment
