Description

Your Role at GEI.

GEI is seeking aspiring professionals who aspire to have a positive impact on GEI’s land development infrastructure supervision team and are interested in working collaboratively with a talented team of design, management, and technical leaders. This position will support GEI's land development engineering practice across any of our Ontario offices, including Markham, Barrie, Collingwood, Owen Sound, or Guelph. The role involves working on a diverse range of projects, providing land development and civil site design services for residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sites.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare functional and detailed residential subdivision and commercial designs
  • Design of municipal services (Storm, Sanitary, Watermain)
  • Design of local municipal roadways
  • Develop grading plans from existing survey data
  • Earthworks analysis
  • Prepare engineering drawing sheets
  • Convert field information to final drawings
  • Preparation of technical memos, reports, construction plans and specifications
  • Preparation of permit, bidding and documentation drawing sets
  • Direct and coordinate the assembly of final plan sets from multiple discipline work

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Proficiency in standard analysis software, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant programs is preferred.
  • 1–5 years of experience in land development projects.
  • P.Eng designation is considered an asset.
