Application Engineer - Ottawa - #438284

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an engineering organization with over 90 years' experience in producing high quality, world-renowned test and measurement equipment. As our Application Engineer based in the Ottawa area, you will be supporting the sales and marketing channel, demonstrating products, providing training and application support to our wide-ranging customer base in Canada.

Your tasks

• Technical support for RF and microwave Test and Measurement instruments.
• Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions
• Provide technical feedback to product line
• Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations
  
  

Your Qualifications

• BSEE (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of working in a customer facing role as an application engineer.
• Detailed knowledge of communication protocols such as 5GNR, LTE, IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15.4.
• Experience working with test equipment including spectrum/signal analyzers, signal generators, radio communication testers and vector network analyzers.
• Strong understanding of RF/uW vector measurement applications.
• Programming experience with instrument automation (Python, Matlab C/C++, Labview).
• Experience supporting customers with a solid understanding of current electronic industry.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% within the region and occasional international travel.
• Professional working proficiency in French a plus.
• Position will be based in Ottawa, Ontario.
