HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Maintenance Mechanic ensures production capacity by installing, commissioning, repairing, and maintaining all equipment at the Guelph, Ontario plant.
THE DETAILS:
Education & Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
Training: Served full apprenticeship (schooling and hours) in a manufacturing environment
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting machine manuals and specification sheets, with basic computer skills
Soft Skills: Strong focus on continuous learning, flexibility, and customer service, with a commitment to quality and maintaining positive relationships with coworkers and customers
Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
AVAILABILITY:
This is a rotating schedule, currently working afternoons for 2 weeks (M- Th), followed by 4 weeks of days (M-Th) - subject to change, flexibility is critical across the team.

The Maintenance Mechanic ensures production capacity by installing, commissioning, repairing, and maintaining all equipment at the Guelph, Ontario plant.
THE DETAILS:
- Maintain & Repair Production Equipment: Perform scheduled maintenance, evaluate equipment condition, diagnose and repair malfunctions, propose and test solutions, and fabricate parts based on drawings
- Communication & Collaboration: Provide written or verbal reports on equipment status, and receive instructions regarding repair priorities or projects
- Documentation & Planning: Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours; organize maintenance activities and prioritize workload based on customer requests
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Train team members, share best practices for equipment maintenance, and improve operational procedures
- Major Repairs, Projects & Commissioning: Rebuild and prototype equipment following manufacturer specifications, install and commission new machinery, and fabricate parts using welding, machining, and assembly
