Convergint is currently recruiting for a Journeyperson HVAC Mechanic (with BAS) to join their team in Fort McMurray.

• This is a 7/7 shift rotation. You will be provided with local accommodation for duration of your shift and a travel allowance to and from Fort McMurray per shift.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

• Install heating/air conditioning/refrigeration equipment and systems for the purpose of providing comfort and indoor air quality.
• Inspect systems and their components (e.g. roof top units, air handling units, restaurant /refrigeration equipment, make-up air units, exhaust fans, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper efficient operation of equipment.
• Respond to service and warranty calls and repair failed components in a timely and efficient manner to support facility and tenant needs.
• Prepare documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information to customer on work performed.
• Work closely with our Building Automation Systems (BAS) technicians to trouble-shoot as well as coordinate service and support for automated and networked HVAC systems.
• Learn and apply BAS knowledge from the field, work with a positive and questioning attitude with our BAS Technicians, and increase personal ability to work with our client’s automation products and systems.
• Execute all work in accordance with Provincial & Local regulations, general best practices, and company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times, thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years commercial field experience
• Experience working with BAS controls is an asset
• Journeyman HVAC/R Mechanic certification required
