The Data and Application Services team is responsible for managing aircraft reliability data, business intelligences systems, technical publication system and related infrastructure.

In this role, you will support the architecture, development and deployment of data processing in Oracle, SQL Server Databases on secure Azure environment. You will also contribute to development and deployment of existing and new tools involving MicroStrategy, Python and other software. These tools leverage exiting data in the business to provide value to internal and external stakeholders.

Your tasks will include :

• Maintain Oracle, SQL Server databases in secure Azure environment and support internal users on querying data, providing advice, guidance and best practice.
• Database design for new and existing apps, which includes data modeling, creating tables, views, triggers.
• Write stored procedures/functions for data pipelines and apps.
• Troubleshoot data issues, data pipelines, and reports.
• Performance tunning on complex queries and databases
• Maintain existing MicroStrategy BI reports – troubleshoot the issue raised by users, manage MicroStrategy user accounts, and system objects.
• Responsible for maintaining existing, developing new in-house data processing.
• Support existing tool deployment in-house, on the cloud, and customer installations.
• Provide input on cloud architecture for software deployment and authentication
• Collaborating with business and technical team members to design, implement and test smart repeatable solutions
• Be excited to learn and introduce the team to new technologies that improve performance, allow new features or improve our processes
  
  

The skills you bring:

• You hold a university degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences etc. and have minimum five years extensive experience in data processing/ETL, database design, data warehouse and BI reporting, and software Development.
• Solid hands on experience on data modeling, PL/SQL, T-SQL. Strong skills in writing complex queries and stored procedures. Preferable Oracle and SQL server DBA skills, but not required.
• Practical MicroStrategy working experience is ideal.
• Have working experience of Python and other programming languages
• You have experience with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure App Services and other Azure tools and infrastructure
• Have knowledge of Machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Excellent experience on Command line, Unix/Linux and PowerShell scripts
• Excellent experience with MS Office 365 suite (particularly Excel, Access, PowerPoint and MS Project)
• Experience with project management is an asset
• You have strong analytical skills, organizational, time-management, and communication skills
