We are searching for a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager, Student Success to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Riipen's learner success initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the student journey—from application and onboarding to in-program support and post-project outcomes—ensuring an exceptional and impactful experience for every learner on our platform.

Your work will be critical to ensuring students gain meaningful, resume-worthy experiences that help them transition successfully into the workforce. You'll build and scale a high-performing team, design a best-in-class learner support model, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our programs remain accessible, equitable, and effective.

This is a hands-on leadership role that reports to the VP, Operations and is fully remote, open to candidates across Canada and is available on a 12-month fixed contract term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the student success vision and roadmap, aligning with Riipen's broader organizational goals to enhance learner outcomes, engagement, and employability.

  • Design scalable processes and systems that improve learner satisfaction, project persistence, and career-readiness outcomes.

  • Team Building & Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing student success team, including managers and coordinators. Provide direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure every student receives exceptional support.

  • Oversee every stage of the learner journey: application screening, onboarding, project support, and post-program follow-up. Ensure consistent, high-quality interactions that drive student conversion, retention, and completion rates.

  • Institutional Collaboration

  • Work with school partners to support recruitment and outreach strategies that align with program goals and enrollment targets. Support institutions in measuring student impact and outcomes.

  • Operational Excellence

  • Develop and refine processes for pipeline management, proactive persistence outreach, and support escalation. Track KPIs such as application-to-participation rates, project completion, and student satisfaction.

  • Student Impact & Employability

  • Collaborating with Riipen's Impact & Research team you will lead post-program initiatives that assess impact, including follow-ups to measure employability outcomes, collect testimonials, and support alumni engagement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Employer Success, and Strategic Partnerships to ensure learner needs are met and voices are represented in decision-making.

  • Tech-Enabled Efficiency & Scale

  • Guide the implementation of tools and automation that improve learner tracking, engagement, and communication at scale.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • You bring 7+ years of experience in student success, academic advising, learner engagement, or educational programming, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • You have experience building or scaling support teams and programs in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.

  • You are passionate about helping students succeed and have a strong understanding of career readiness, work-based learning, or experiential education.

  • You have deep knowledge of learner lifecycle metrics, program delivery, and operational excellence.

  • You're a proactive, strategic thinker who thrives on turning vision into action.

  • You are a strong people leader and communicator who can inspire, align, and drive results.

  • You're comfortable with data, dashboards, and using insights to improve outcomes and influence decision-making.

  • You have experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), support tools (e.g., Intercom), and communication platforms (e.g., Slack, GSuite).

Bonus Points….
