Position Summary
As the Warehouse Operations Manager for our Milton, ON distribution center, you will be the site leader with full P&L accountability, reporting to the Sr. Manager, North America Warehousing – Customer Supply Chain. This pivotal leadership role oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, driving excellence in service, quality, and cost management while leading a team of 20-25 employees.
In this position, you will strategically align distribution operations with broader business objectives, partnering closely with Supply Planning, Customer Service, Packaging and Transportation Management to ensure seamless delivery planning. As a site leader, you will champion operational excellence, lead transformation initiatives, and build strong
relationships across the organization to ensure the Milton facility consistently delivers exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with legal regulations
- Ensure all company-sponsored safety programs are administered correctly according to best practice
- Work in compliance with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations
- Champion Health, Safety, and Wellbeing initiatives for all employees and visitors
- Ensure compliance with ISO13485 and Health Canada Good Manufacturing Practice regulations and guidelines
- Support the Canadian Operations Strategy
- Drive operational efficiency and customer service excellence
- Lead transformation change initiatives
- Develop and execute capability planning (including workforce planning) to ensure preparedness for future business needs
- Assess current SOPs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions
- Direct and manage all warehouse activities through supervisors and team leaders
- Plan, organize, and assign work to utilize skills and experience, ensuring daily and monthly customer service criteria on delivery performance are met
- Ensure the Warehouse Management System (WMS) is efficiently and effectively understood and used by all warehouse personnel
- Drive and support selection and implementation of WMS upgrades to improve customer experience and reduce operational costs
- Align practices to ensure cGMP compliance
- Partner with on site quality team to develop and track operational and quality metrics to improve performance
- Compare operational and quality parameters to external benchmarks to continuously improve performance across the Edgewell Distribution Network
- Develop and ensure adherence to budgets and costs
- Drive cost reductions and productivity improvements across the distribution operation
- Provide annual material movement and storage budget for the Milton location
- Maintain high levels of inventory control – Ensure completion and accuracy of A-B-C cycle count for all finished goods and additional controls, as required
- Provide thought leadership on Distribution Management
- Develop facility layouts to maximize space utilization, productivity, and safety
- Identify and implement new technologies and information systems as required
- Serve as the key point of contact for tactical and operational considerations related to Edgewell Operations
- Ensure material storage requirements are met using efficient space utilization techniques
- Acquire, staff, and manage additional adequate storage facilities as required
- Champion transformation change management, collaborating with and influencing key business partners
- Cultivate and effectively manage relationships with senior leaders and peers
- Coach and manage the professional development of direct reports
- Promote Edgewell Core Values and improve warehouse team engagement through leadership and relationship development
- Hire, train, and manage warehouse personnel by providing leadership, counseling, motivation, discipline, and annual appraisals
- Communicate and coordinate activities regularly with other corporate functions (Sales, Transportation, US
- Warehousing, Packaging, Purchasing, Product Lifecycle, Safety and Employee Relations, IS/IT, Engineering, and Finance/Controllership)
- Conduct safety and work-related meetings to provide safety training/information, review cost performance, provide updates on business performance, and exchange views on operating challenges
- University degree with 5-7 years of experience in Distribution field
- General knowledge of shipping and transportation and thorough knowledge of warehousing and distribution procedures
- Experience with the implementation and use of leading Warehouse Management Systems
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
- Working knowledge of Accounting and Finance as it relates to Supply Chain Operations
- Knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act, Edgewell HR policies, Ontario Employment Standards Act, and Edgewell HSES policies
- Previous experience successfully leading a team including mentoring and coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Results-oriented analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to apply process excellence methodology and tools
- Strategic mindset with honed analytical capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and executive presence
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and manage change
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to successfully work within and promote a team environment
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Key internal relationships include Packaging, Planning, Transportation, Customer Service and Procurement
- External relationships include vendors and service providers
