At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

At Jacobs, we’re not just building structures. We’re helping our clients innovate and grow by designing, engineering, and executing the construction of advanced water/wastewater facilities that are changing our world.

We’re looking for a Construction Manager to be based in British Columbia, Canada, who is excited about working on projects that support our clients’ businesses and practices. Join us, and you’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful construction projects that make a difference in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large construction projects (>$100M), ensuring contractors meet all contractual obligations.
  • Oversee the construction contractor’s safety program and verify compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct weekly project management and progress meetings; prepare construction progress updates and monthly summary reports.
  • Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and other design-related documentation.
  • Provide interpretation of drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate and facilitate input from the client, design teams, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily construction progress, inspection reports, and photographs.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with permit conditions and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate on-site inspections, quality assurance, and testing activities.
  • Resolve construction-related issues and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Assist with commissioning activities and participate in public consultations when necessary.

We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.
