About The Role

The Content Creator is responsible for developing engaging and innovative content for a variety of media platforms. This role involves creative storytelling, technical skills in video production and editing, and a deep understanding of digital trends to create content that resonates with our target audience and aligns with our brand"s voice and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development and Execution:

Develop and produce high-quality, creative content for various platforms, including social media, blogs, websites, marketing materials, and video channels.

Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style, and layout.

Create compelling video content, including scripting, filming, and editing, to enhance digital storytelling.

Video Production And Editing

Plan and execute video shoots, including setting up locations, lighting, and equipment.

Edit video content to ensure it aligns with the brand"s aesthetic and messaging goals.

Stay current with the latest video editing technology and techniques.

Content Strategy

Contribute to the creation and implementation of content strategies to meet business goals, with a focus on video content.

Analyze gaps in our content and recommend new topics, particularly in video storytelling.

Brand Consistency

Ensure brand consistency in style, quality, and tone of voice in all content, including video content.

Keep up-to-date with industry trends and customer challenges to build a more effective editorial calendar.

Engagement And Analytics

Monitor web traffic and engagement (e.g., conversions and bounce rates) to understand the effectiveness of the content, with an emphasis on video content.

Utilize SEO best practices to maximize reach to our target audience.

Collaboration And Feedback

Collaborate with other departments to create innovative content ideas, including video concepts.

Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make necessary adjustments to content strategy and execution, especially for video content.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Video Production, Film, or related field.

Proven content creation and video production experience with a portfolio of work, specifically with YouTube and other social media platforms.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, alongside strong video editing skills.

Strong research, analytical, and video storytelling skills.

Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).

Basic knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.

Experience with social media management and analytics tools.

Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Working Conditions

Flexibility to work in a remote setting as needed.

Occasional travel may be required for on-location video shoots. Work Location: Remote / Flexible Travel to Barrie Office & Job Sites

The pay range for this role is:60,000 - 70,000 CAD per year(Barrie, ON)
