Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Audio Visual & Design Services and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital (SBH), the Audio Visual Assistant is responsible for: providing reception and office support services to the Audio Visual department; maintaining the central room booking system for the hospital; providing audio visual support to clients; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience

  • One(1) year experience in a customer service or event coordinator role.
  • Knowledge of the set up, operation and routine maintenance of various audio-visual equipment.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.

Special Training/Skills

  • Keyboarding speed 45 wpm.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of common software including word processing, power point and email applications.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of EMS software.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in digital photography.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency of SAP Requisitioning an asset.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency of Photoshop an asset.

  • Ability to lift, operate and set up a variety of audio-visual equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
  • Polite and courteous telephone manner.

  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
