Senior HR Generalist - #383191

Description

Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join our esteemed non-profit client based in New Westminster, BC, on a 2-month contract basis. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting various human resources functions to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's HR department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Administer employee benefits programs and answer inquiries regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, and claims.
• Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
• Maintain accurate HR records and employee files, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and company policies.
• Provide HR-related support and guidance to employees and managers on a range of HR topics.
• Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role.
• Experience working in the non-profit sector is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) is an asset.
