Your Opportunity:

Looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the AHS Team at the Wetaskiwin HCC facility. If you are looking for steady casual employment with room to grow and opportunities to learn, we have what you need, and are wanting to help you succeed. This fully funded position requires you to have a minimum of a 4th Class Power Engineer certification in good standing as you will be providing shift coverage for other operators while on vacation or days off as the need arises.

Description:

As a Power Engineer 4th Class, you will be responsible for assisting with monitoring, repairs and maintenance of plant operations in accordance with AHS and Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) standards and practices. You will schedule and check building/power plant equipment systems on a pre-established schedule. In addition, you will operate and maintain the plant in a safe and efficient manner according to ABSA regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Class 5 or higher Driver's License. Mechanical aptitude. Positive attitude. Attention to detail. Pride in your work.

Preferred Qualifications:

HVAC specific training and/or experience with. Ability to read and interpret building drawings and schematics (e.g., architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, civil, etc.). Experience in operations and maintenance in a health care related facility is desired.
