Facility: St Pauls Hospital
Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care on 5th Medicine.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Experience
1 year of acute care experience to meet the observation training requirement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
Ability to perform the functions of the position, after unit orientation and training for certifiable skills
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in applying the nursing process
Other Information

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.

It will be desirable if you possess a knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques involved in performing nursing services relating to the care of patients on 5th Medicine. This knowledge is commonly obtained through previous experience in Medical Nursing.

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Nights, Weekends
In a 4 week rotation: 8 shifts of 11.78 hours
