Responsibilities
As a Mail Associate, you duties will include:
• Preparing mail and packages for external shipment using common mail services including fax, air express, freight and postal services.
• Receiving, sorting, and processing mail documents, packages, and supplies. Notifying recipients.
• Basic Printing - utilizing colour production printers
• Recording & processing accountable mail information, maintain logs.
• Shipping and receiving using automated system to track and manage activity.
• Arranging alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements.
• Determining output packaging per packaging standards.
• Verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Operating mail equipment including mail inserters, sorters and finishing equipment.
• Performing quality checks on outbound mail.
• Performing charge-back reporting for postage, air express, local delivery, and faxes.
• Performing mail labeling/mail merge.
• Performing electronic mail distribution (open, mail prep, scan and distribute).
• Performing fulfillment functions, such as assembly, packaging, and kitted materials.
• Performing logging, transmission, receipt, and timely distribution of faxes.
• Delivering and picking-up mail on scheduled runs.
• Tracking, tracing, and resolving mail problems or concerns.
• Monitoring/ordering/replenishing supplies inventory.

Qualifications
•1 year experience of mailroom experience, or similar clerical roles in a professional working environment.
• Previous dock experience
•Experience in a client-facing environment.
•Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
•Experience with lift truck and material handling equipment.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Self-motivated
•Able to read, write and follow English instructions.
•Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office.
•Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
•Able to be on your feet 80% of the time.
•Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
•Ability and willingness to learn.
