Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in adherence to policies and procedure. Actively promote safe production by crew members.
• Accountable to meet safety, production and budget targets
• Report for work fit and ready to engage in the day’s activities.
• By following directives and engaging as a team player, safely and efficiently perform daily duties.
• Inspect workings, headings, and construction for compliances to codes, regulations and standards
• Receive and communicate information from/to the Supervisor/Leader
• Deal with any unsafe condition immediately. Rectify or isolate and report.
• Take the initiative to lead and direct fellow miners/workers to safely and efficiently complete the task at hand

Key Requirements:

Technical Competencies

• Completion of all relevant Common Core Specialty Modules or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of all safety, health and environmental regulations and procedures as they pertain to the work and workplace
• Minimum 2 years experience in U/G Mine Construction.

Schedule: 4/3
Duration: Initial phase approximately 1-2 months. Good possibility of more work to follow.
Preference will be given to local candidates.
