ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is a full-time permanent position for an Electrical Lead Hand whose responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and lead the crew, ensuring consistent application of policies
  • Communicate job expectations, assign tasks, and address issues among crew members
  • Maintain work standards, behavioral expectations, and promote workplace respect
  • Follow project plans and schedules, prioritize work for the crew
  • Collaborate with the crew to overcome challenges and meet production goals
  • Promote an inclusive work environment and resolve issues among crew members
  • Foster teamwork, harmony, and a positive attitude among the crew
  • Conduct on-site assessments, oversee work execution, and ensure adherence to specifications
  • Inspect and measure completed work to meet quality standards
  • Prepare required reports, handle change orders, and maintain documentation
  • Track daily production, report work progress, and complete worker disciplinary reports

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Red Seal Certification
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Strong knowledge of distribution equipment and BC Hydro Standards
  • Min 2-5 years of commercial experience

COMPENSATION

  • $34 - $40 depending on experience
  • Overtime
  • Benefits package
