GHD's EnvironmentOntario business has an exciting new opportunity for a hardworking and passionate Senior Project Manager to join our Ontario region working on a wide range of projects across all industry sectors for both the government and private sector.
This role will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team across a variety of infrastructure, energy and resources, transport, water, environment and other project types.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
This role will see you involved in:
- Identifying business development opportunities and participating and leading client capture plans, pre-positioning pursuits, and proposal responses across multidisciplinary teams, with a focus but not limited to the federal sector and regional Ottawa market
- Acting as a project manager, technical lead, and project resource on a variety of different projects involving contaminated site assessment and remediation, in provincial, federal and private sectors
- Designing, coordination, and delivery of contaminated site assessment, hydrogeological and excess soil investigations
- Managing projects including budgets, staffing resources, and timelines
- Providing environmental advice to both internal and external clients
- Supporting business in the operational aspects of the business and monitoring key performance indicators, including measurable growth targets for the Ottawa market.
- Mentoring junior and intermediate staff in the delivery of projects, technical skills and career development
What you will bring to the team:
- Develop a sense of responsibility for own actions (and those of others) and face challenges openly.

- Proficient technical writer, presenter, and excellent communication.
- Ability to work without supervision and be proactive.
- Proven team leader and ensuring knowledge transfer via providing on the job training and mentoring of staff.

- Project management skills and able to think strategically and innovatively.
- Ability to manage peak work periods for delivery.
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience with your P. Geo. or P.Eng. Licence and experienced with supervising field investigations and clear communications with clients and stakeholders
- Qualified Person (QP) as referenced under O.Reg. 153/04
- Proven business development capabilities in the Ontario and more specifically Ottawa and federal markets with outstanding client management skills and project execution capabilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Working knowledge in geology and hydrogeology investigations, contaminant migration analyses, due diligence investigations, O. Reg. 153 investigations and excess soils under O. Reg. 406, and federal contaminated site assessment processes
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout Ontario as required and eligibility for US work visa
