Responsibilities
- Managing all transportation and warehouse needs within the 3PL division for inter-Canada and cross-border
- Analyze freight rates, sign on new carriers, onboarding new carriers and managing all the carrier relations
- Prospecting new clients for the 3PL service (Warehouse or Transport)
- Monitor company's or department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies
- Finding cost effective solutions
- Reviewing and overseeing all billing, prices and negotiations
- Oversee and support the dispatch, operations and warehouse staff
- Recruit personnel and oversee their training
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role within the transportation industry (trucking, warehousing or 3PL)
- Ability to guide, lead and support a team
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Positive team spirits
